Why I want to be a delegate: I am a huge fan of the team, product and vision behind Tally so want to help contribute to the success of the product and DAO however possible. As a PM at Alchemy I’ve been a long time collaborator with the Tally team, but hope to participate even more deeply as a delegate. Also, having worked on the infrastructure side of blockchain and web3 since 2018, I think I’ll come to DAO votes with a unique, but important perspective!

  • Have been working alongside the Tally team for more than 6 months through a partnership between our teams
  • Personally have used products across DeFI and NFTs for years (and am super excited to have a new wallet to do so  )

Why I want to be a delegate:

I believe that my experience in blockchain industry and as a developer with having worked on wallets before will allow me to contribute to this project. It’s a great opportunity to apply my skillset and contribute to whole open source ecosystem and grow along with it. It’s not just contributing to the project, it’s also about meeting new people with similar mindset and educating others who are new to the space. This will make some impact on crypto adoption. Also, who doesn’t want a completely transparent wallet driven by community rather than VCs.

I confirm that:

  • I’m willing and able to participate in governance of the upcoming Tally DAO. I understand this is an ongoing role that requires active participation: (Agree)
  • I understand that delegates are unpaid volunteers for the time being. Being a delegate does not qualify me for immediate payment in tokens: (Agree)

My Web3 qualifications:

  • Been a developer in Web3 since 2017
  • Won Blockchain Hackathons
  • Mentored teams in Hackathons,
  • Worked on private blockchain projects as part of Big 4
  • Worked on multiple projects - Backend, Frontend, Mobile Dev
  • Currently on working on wallet that will support multiple multiple blockchains ( L1 & L2)
  • Ofcourse I do know people in crypto space that would be happy to partner, collaborate, NFT projects, market places
  • Also, I am currently exploring to develop potential Dapp ideas using SNARKS
  • Participate in Catalyst Proposals on Cardano

Why I want to be a delegate:

I’m a big fan of Tally’s community as well as Tally’s mission to provide a free, open-source, community owned, multi-chain Web3 wallet. It’s actually very similar to our mission and values at ShapeShift. In addition to having experience in product management & ui/ux design, building products & orgs from the ground up, and participating in DAO governance, I’m very interested in exploring opportunities for collaboration between Tally and ShapeShift.

I confirm that:

  • I’m willing and able to participate in governance of the upcoming Tally DAO. I understand this is an ongoing role that requires active participation: Agree
  • I understand that delegates are unpaid volunteers for the time being. Being a delegate does not qualify me for immediate payment in tokens: Agree

Why I want to be a delegate:

I believe Tally could be the most widespread web3 wallet. That would bring a huge responsibility as wallets will become more powerful in the future, like the web2 “super apps”. I would like to actively participate in the DAO to make sure we execute on the opportunities for adoption, while not compromising on the values that bring us together such as Deso’s log in with Google feature: https://twitter.com/alex_valaitis/status/1480304479027318794

As I plan to actively contribute to the DAO, I would also like to be delegated votes.

I want to be a delegate because when I first heard about Tally, I was sold on the fact that it was community built and community owned. As Tally develops in the future I want to contribute as a community member to aid guide that trajectory, through sound practices and staying true to the ethics of web 3.0 and the blockchain.

I confirm that:

  • I’m willing and able to participate in governance of the upcoming Tally DAO. I understand this is an ongoing role that requires active participation: (Agree)

Why I want to be a delegate:

I’m not being original speaking about Tally but I’ve been following the project for some months now (Tally is one of the projects I’m following the most at the moment), participating on Discord, listening to community calls/Q&As, testing new releases and reporting bugs, etc… and I really love how Tally is being built as now, the team have placed the community in the center of their project and we get involved in most of the steps of the development, user feedbacks being very important. Getting Tally run and owned by the community thanks to the DAO is getting me really hyped. :star_struck:

I’m honest : being a delegate on Tally’s DAO would be a first delegate experience for me but if I get added I will do my best to be active, propose, vote and act in the interest of the project and their users.

I confirm that:

  • I’m willing and able to participate in governance of the upcoming Tally DAO. I understand this is an ongoing role that requires active participation: I agree
  • I understand that delegates are unpaid volunteers for the time being. Being a delegate does not qualify me for immediate payment in tokens: I agree

My Web3 qualifications:

I’ve been moderating Telegram and Discord crypto communities for various projects.

I’ve been voting (and sometimes participating) on DAOs from : LobsterDAO, Gearbox, Paraswap, Fei, ENS, Tracer, Sushi, among others…

Why I want to be a delegate:

One of the things that makes this decentralized technology so important is that it flips the existing model on its head; our current version of capitalism is to maximize profits for those who have wealth and power, while the driving force in a decentralized economy is the cost minimization to the participants and workers. Anything can be forked and fees cut, so giving back to the people who have created value, proportionally to how much value they’ve created for others is paradigm shifting.

The team at Tally have built a web3 wallet that not only is superb in it’s UI/UX, but also in that it moves the needle towards better decentralization through competition, and through becoming a DAO they have demonstrated the strong alignment with the ethos of the space/movement.

The interface that people look at daily to interact with and view their assets is an incredibly important piece of the infrastructure being built out to help bring self-sovereignty and equality to our fellow humans who might otherwise be intimidated by the technology.

As for a little about myself, I’ve been a Registered Nurse for years, but have been moving more and more into the crypto ecosystem since I see this as a way to bring equality and personal liberties to the greatest number of our fellow humans. I’m a fan of decentralization & open markets since this redistributes opportunities to everyone equally, giving individuals the power to make their own decisions, reaping both the rewards and consequences of those actions. As a nurse, I know how to advocate for those who entrust me with their cares/decisions, and to stand up for what they want, regardless of whether it is what I personally would choose.

As your delegate, I would establish a communication channel where I would offer my insights into the governance decisions coming up and obtain temp checks for votes. I would vote as you wish, leaving my own personal interests and opinions at the door. Obviously, this would be completely optional to participate in this manner, just that I will represent you to the best of my abilities.

I confirm that:

  • I’m willing and able to participate in governance of the upcoming Tally DAO. I understand this is an ongoing role that requires active participation:

Agree!

  • I understand that delegates are unpaid volunteers for the time being. Being a delegate does not qualify me for immediate payment in tokens:

Understood!

My Web3 qualifications:

(Projects you’ve contributed to, DAOs you are a member of, previous delegate experience, etc.)

  • I’ve been an active member of BanklessDAO participating with DEGEN the bot we all know and love for sending us our POAP claims, the tokenomics team, and the onboarding project. Through these experiences, I’ve interacted with many DAOs/projects/teams and from that exposure, gained a diversity of perspectives in how DAOs organize and self govern, doing deep dives into protocols to see what works and is important, as well as participating in governance.

  • Currently working with a team to deploy on-chain governance for an investment group, establishing a token, polling, and token voting with decentralized governance mechanisms.

  • Experience with coding solidity/smart contracts, web3, python based data analytics.
